I am an American living in Japan – and I love Yamanashi! I came to Japan in 2003 and spent most of my time in Tokyo until the pandemic hit. I found myself living in Yamanashi and working remotely for about 6 months. During that time I fell in love with Yamanashi, and eventually built a home here where I spend weekends and holidays.

I created this site to share the best of Yamanashi (as I see it). I hope you find it informative and that it motivates you to visit Japan’s best kept secret!
